Stew Leonard’s of Farmingdale/East Meadow is seeking an in house Maintenance Mechanic/ technician to Maintain and repair Commercial food equipment and general building Maintenance.
Must be able to perform Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Preventive/ Reactive maintenance of Commercial Food Equipment.
Must be able to respond to any and all Emergency calls day or night and weekends.
Must have Electrical experience to Diagnosis and Repair various components on Food Equipment.
Must be able to perform General Building maintenance (Jake of all Trades).
Must have the ability to lift heavy objects up to 75lbs Must be able to stand, climb, kneel, sit for extended periods of time climb ladders up to 20ft, work on roofs in extreme conditions and use scissor lift. Willing to get a fork truck certification training supplied by Stew Leonard’s. Must be willing to travel to Connecticut for Training if needed. Must have good computer skills and able to read electrical schematics and building blueprints. Mandatory on-call every other weekend must be able to work late nights and weekends during holidays if needed. Willing to hire someone with Hvac/R, plumbing and or electrical experience. Job requirements include:
High school diploma and or Trade school equivalent
3-5 yrs. of any of the following trades listed below
Commercial food equipment repair preferred
Electrical 480, 220, 120 preferred
Some Carpentry skills are helpful
Computer literate (CMMS, BMS, Emails, Microsoft Excel-Office)
